What I do

Where Optimization Creates Value

Real operational problems I solve with mathematical optimization.

01

Vehicle Routing

Optimize delivery routes and technician assignments while minimizing travel time and operational cost.

02

Production Planning

Sequence production orders and minimize setup times across constrained manufacturing lines.

03

Inventory & Supply Chain

Optimize inventory levels and replenishment decisions across distribution networks while balancing service levels, storage capacity and operational cost.

04

Workforce Scheduling

Optimize workforce schedules and task assignments while respecting labor constraints, service requirements and operational demand.

How we work

We don't start with an algorithm. We start with the decision.

Decidor helps companies transform complex operational decisions into optimization-based solutions that are understandable, usable, and aligned with real business constraints.

The work usually moves through four lenses:

01

Decision clarity

What decision are we improving, and what does “better” mean in practice?

02

Optimization design

Which modeling approach fits the problem, the data, and the operational context?

03

Usable outputs

How should results, scenarios, and trade-offs be presented so teams can act on them?

04

Operational validation

Does the solution hold up against real constraints, exceptions, and business rules?

The outcome is not just a mathematical model. It is a decision-support capability built around the way your operation actually works.

About

An Independent Operations Research specialist

I'm Ricardo Leão, an independent Operations Research specialist. I help companies build optimization and decision systems for complex operations — working autonomously and embedded directly with your team.

I transform operational data into decision engines that support real-world processes such as routing, scheduling, resource allocation and capacity planning.

Rather than delivering reports or slideware, I develop production-ready optimization systems designed to run inside your own infrastructure — fully owned and operated by your team.

My approach combines mathematical optimization, domain-specific modeling and pragmatic engineering — so solutions are not only technically sound, but directly applicable in real operations. Over a decade in the field, I've led optimization work at companies such as Mercado Livre and Accenture.
